The vibrant roots of our Association, which stretch back to 2015, began with a chance encounter between Chief Chukwu Etu and the esteemed Dr. Dalhatu Sarki Tafida (Pictured), then Nigerian High Commissioner to the UK, during a visit by the Ebonyi State contingent to the Nigerian High Commission in London.
This fateful meeting set in motion a series of events that led to the establishment of our Association. Dr. Tafida, impressed by the potential of Tyne and Wear, decided to lend his support. Chief Chukwu Etu, along with influential figures like Dr. Feyi Awotona, rallied the community, reaching out to Nigerians across Tyne and Wear to join hands in this endeavour. It was a collective effort that brought our Association to life.
Our journey, which began with a simple conversation, has evolved into a thriving community committed to fostering connections and camaraderie among Nigerians in the Tyne and Wear region in the UK. We invite you to join us on this journey, as we continue to build bridges and celebrate our shared heritage. Your participation is crucial in our community-building activities.
